Charles Mitchener Dodd, professor and ceramic engineer, attended Hiram College (1914-1916) and received his B.S. (1926) and Ceramic Engineering Degree (1933) from Ohio State University. He served as a Professor of ceramic engineering at the University of Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy before accepting the position of Professor and Head of ceramic engineering at Iowa State College (University).
